setting up ssh between AIX and Linux box

hello i need assistance. i am setting up a connection between AIX and a linux box with a user called backbone. backbone will login to the linux box vi ssh. that is : ssh -i /home/backbone/.ssh/transpdf backrec IP now the above command should not ask for a password but for me it does. i created the ssh key and did send the public key to the other server but still the command below is asking for a password. what am i doing wrong chucktalors
