Problems with Atheros ar9285 wireless adapter
Hello Windows 7 works perfectly with my wireless adapter. The problem comes when I dual boot into Mint 12. I can always connect to the internet after startup. After a while, the connection will be lost from 4 seconds to up to about 20 minutes. Sometimes it asks for the wpa2 password, but not always. After the connection reconnects itself, it will disconnect again after several minutes. Some things I have tried: Disabling wireless n on the router (but still allowing b and g) has no significant change on the problems. Other information: Code:

Works okay with Fedora 15 (lovelock)
ReplyDeleteI tried Fedora 16 recently, but I'm getting the black screen of death with my radeon (6620G).
Fedora 15 has no issues with the ar9285 and in my case the 9485 (the lower cost version) please give it a try and good luck.
